Music Magazine - Development of a Double Page Spread

This is development of my mock-up of a double page music magazine spread.
Here i furthered the pages by placing a photograph into the middle of the text - this image is meant to represent the band member that left and i felt it was a valid image to tie in with the story i'ved created.
However, looking back at the image of the whole double page spread now, i wish that i had first edited the image into Black and White or 'Monochrome' before placing it - this would mean that it would work well with the synergy of the pages.

This is the same page but with neatened text and with the columns and borders hidden.
